GENEVIEVE

GENEVIEVE - an attractive long sleeved jumper with V-neck in plain knitting in reverse in silk worked together with linen/cotton. The jumper is slightly fitted without being tight (optional). Welt, cuffs and neck band are in ribbing. The becoming V-neck is made in a tip-colour as a decoration. The jumper is worked in rounds until armholes - but if you prefer, it can be worked flat; instructions for that is included in the pattern as well as for short sleeves and a sleeveless version.
Also beautiful in pure cotton or linen/cotton and/or plain coloured.
Required skill level from 1 (basic) to 5 (advanced): 3↑.
Sizes: small - medium - large - xlarge - xxlarge.
The measurements given throughout the pattern are all in cm as well as inches.

Bust: 86 - 96 - 108 - 120 - 130 cm (in: 33¾ - 37¾ - 42½ - 47¼ - 51¼)
Length: 63 - 65 - 66 - 67 - 68 cm (in: 24¾ - 25½ - 26 - 26¼: - 26¾) or as desired
Yarn: this design applies for a 5-ply silk/linen/cotton, 50 g = ca. 115 meters. To use in total 400 - 450 - 550 - 600 - 750 g divided in 250 - 300 - 350 - 400 - 500 g of col. A, 100 - 100 - 150 - 150 - 200 g of col. B and 50 g in col. C (for the neck band - equal for all sizes). For a plain coloured version to use 50 g less.
If you work 1 strand silk together with 1 strand linen/cotton, as it was done here, to use ca. 250 - 250 - 300 - 350 - 400 g in the silk (50 g = ca. 240 meters) and 200 - 200 - 300 - 300 - 400 g in linen/cotton (50 g = ca. 350 meters).
The original model was made in SETA, 100 % bourette silk and the lace-weight linen/cotton LINO COTONE 1/7000. Both yarns from Campolmi Filati in Florence (Firenze), Italy.
The model is availble as a knitting kit in the yarn mentioned above - € 66.20 - 66.20 - 83.80 - 91.15 - 108.75 EUR each kit-size.
The model is good also in cotton.

Needles: and circular needles (or double pointed) no 3 mm and 4 mm.
Tension/gauge in stocking st (washed sample): 20 sts on needles no 4 mm = 10 cm (4 in).
