ELISABETTA

ELISABETTA - a becoming top or undershirt in plain knitting in silk with a decorative panel in textured pattern around the bust just below the armholes. To use alone or under a pullover in the winter. The top is slightly fitted without being tight. Rolled edge for all the edges. Accurate written pattern with charts for the textured pattern. The top is worked in rounds until armholes - but if you prefer, it can be worked flat; instructions included in the pattern. Also beautiful in cotton.
Required skill level from 1 (basic) to 5 (advanced): 3.
Sizes: small - medium - large - xlarge - xxlarge.
The measurements given throughout the pattern are all in cm as well as inches.

Measurements of the garment (after wash - the yarn expand (ca. 5 - 6 %) in use therefore the bust measurements are quite small compared to the size):
Bust: 80 cm - 87 cm - 94 cm - 108 cm - 122 cm (in: 31½ - 34¼ - 37 - 42½ - 48)
Length: 60 cm - 62 cm - 64 cm - 66 cm - 68 cm (in: 23½ - 24½ - 25¼: - 26 - 26¾) or as desired
Yarn: this design applies for a 3-ply silk, 50 g = ca. 240 meters. To use 150 - 150 - 200 - 250 - 300 g.
The original model has been made in SETA, 100 % bourette silk, from Campolmi Roberto Filati in Florence (Firenze), Italy.
Also good in pure cotton.

Needles: and circular needles (or double pointed) no 2,25 and 2.75 mm. OBS! In the pattern may still be given the needle 3 mm, but the needle no 2,75 is recommended.
Tension/gauge in stocking st (washed sample): 26 sts on needles no 2,75 mm = 10 cm (4 in).
