BERGI

BERGI - a long-sleeved gent's guernsey in a simple very elastic ribbed pattern in linen/cotton. The welt, cuffs and neckband are in rib where the cuffs and neck band are worked in finer yarn. The sleeves are set-in-sleeves.
In the pattern is inclosed also to work the model with V-neck.
A very becoming and attractive design.
Also suitable to be worked in pure cotton.
Required skill level from 1 (basic) to 5 (advanged): 3↑.
The measurements throughout the pattern are given in cm as well as inches.

Measurements of the garment:
Chest: 92 cm - 102 cm - 114 cm - 126 cm (in: 36¼ - 40¼ - 44¾ - 49½)
Length: 66 cm - 68 cm - 70 cm - 71 cm (in: 26 - 26¾ - 27½ - 28)
Material: this design applies for a linen/cotton blend (aran-weight), 550 - 600 - 700 - 750 g and 50 g in a finer quality for cuffs and the neck band.
The original model: was made in LINO COTONE 1/7000, 50 % linen/50 % cotton (50 g = 350 meters), from Campolmi Filati in Florence, Italy.
The main part of the guernsey was worked 3 strands together and the cuffs as well as the neck band were worked 2 strands together.
The model is availble as a knitting kit in the yarn mentioned above - € 70.45 - 70.45 - 80.70 - 90.95 EUR each kit-size.

Needles: No 4 mm and 4½ mm.
Tension/gauge in stocking st: 17 sts on needles no 4½ mm = 10 cm (4 in).
An aran-weight cotton could replace the linen/cotton blend if prefered.
