Back: cast on 101 - 113 - 121 - 133 sts using needles no 2½ mm (UK 12)(US 1 or 2) and work rib between the edge sts 5 cm (2 in) starting and ending with knit 3. Now work the pattern starting with row 6 i the description. Continue working the pattern until the work measures 39½ - 40½ - 43 - 42 cm (in: 15¼ - 16 - 17 - 16½) ending with row 6 in pattern. Now continue in rib pattern. Cast off in both sides for on every 2nd row 6 sts 1 time, 3 sts 1 time, 1 st 3 times and on every 4th row 1 st 2 times = 73 - 85 - 93 - 105 sts.
Continue straight up until armhole measures 9 - 10 - 11 - 12 cm (in: 3½ - 4 - 4¼ - 4¾).
Next row: cast off the middle 3 sts and knit one shoulder each at the time. Cast off at neck side on every 2nd row like this: knit the 1st st, knit 2 sts together, pull over the 1st st. Repeat this until 11 - 14 - 16 - 19 sts are remaining. Armhole has to measure 18½ - 19½ 21 - 22 cm (in: 7¼ - 7¾ - 8¼ - 8¾) in height. Leave the sts for later use. Knit the other shoulder likewise.
Front:cast on 103 - 115 - 123 - 135 sts using needles no 2½ mm (UK 12)(US 1 or 2) and work rib between the edge sts 5 cm (2 in) starting and ending with purl 1. Change to needles no 3 mm (UK 11)(US 3) and continue working the rib. Now work as described for the back (always start and end the row with purl 1) until armhole. Cast off 7 sts each side for armhole and continue armhole shaping as for the back, At the same time as casting off for armhole cast off the middle 3 sts for front neck and knit each shoulder one at the time. Cast off 1 st at neck side on every 2nd row until 18 - 20 - 23 - 25 sts remain and then on every 4th row until 11 - 14 - 16 - 19 sts remain and the armhole has reached the same height as on the back.
Knit the other shoulder likewise.

After 6 rows increase 1 st each side. Repeat increasing for every 8 rows another 2 times which gives 3 times all together = 77 - 85 - 93 - 101 sts on the row.
When the sleeve measures 11 - 12 - 13 - 14 cm (in: 4½ - 4¾ - 5¼ - 5¾) cast off at both sides on every 2nd row 6 sts 1 time, 3 sts 1 time, 1 st 15 - 16 - 18 - 20 times, 2 sts 2 times, 3 sts 2 times. Cast off remaining sts.

Purl 1 row (seen from the right side) and then 2 rows plain knitting. Next row: knit 13 - 14 - 16 - 17 sts, turn, wool forward over the needle (to avoid a hole), purl back. Next row: knit 25 - 27 - 31 - 33 sts, at the same time after 9 - 10 - 11 - 11 sts make a little button-hole.
